So Close

Recorded as part of my next, upcoming CD, "So Close" was co-written with Mike Conway, who is featured prominently on keyboard. Many thanks to Natalie Dodson, Jeff Feit, and Mike Conway for their tireless production work on this track.

And, hats off to "the boys in the band"!! That would be Bret Patton on drums, the incomparable Frank Celentano on bass, Mike Conway on keyboards. Thanks guys! You made this happen.

Better Late Than Never

My debut CD. Barebones. Just me and my guitar. Well, on most of the tracks, anyway. Influences? Several.

Silly me! I never knew how easy it was to make my music available here on my website.

Ron, Excellent music! I just heard you again this morning. There is one song you cover that has a line that get's suck in my head all day. I don't know the name of the song though. The line is, "ooooh oooh waterloo". Waterloo isn't the right word but I can never figure it out. Any thoughts on what song that is? If you can help, I'd be grateful! Keep bringing us positive vibes on our commute to work. Thank you, Nichja

When I'm coming up the Escalator and hear your throaty voice echoing through the station, it always makes my day! Then as I get to the top and see you there, singing, I feel such joy. Today's selection was "Hurt", and your rendition was perfect. Thank you for sharing your gift this way.

Hey Ron, I'm listening to your music. I hear a lot of compatibility but I'm really a rock and roller and I like a band approach. A lot of you more recent songs I can TOTALLY hear a *band* arrangement behind it. Are you interested in being in a BAND? If so, let's you and I and another guitarist (Aaron Madsen) have lunch. I know a WONDERFUL bass player (he's on the R&TD songs) and a shit-hot drummer. I also know Scott Porter. an excellent player and the ONLY keys person in the bay area who knows who Kevin McKendree is; Kevin will play on any song we send as long as I've some pre-editing (fixing egregious vocal clams...light clams, adding the guitar effects and getting the tone correct before he gets the stems so he doesn't have to do any of that. Being an Ungrateful Bastardâ„¢ has its rewards. By the way, you are a fucking EXCELLENT singer. Your acoustic guitar playing is also EXCELLENT. I play some acoustic but I'm really more of an electric guitar player. Have Tele (and Strat) and SG Special and Les Paul Junior, will travel. The Gibsons are P90 guitars with Ron Ellis P90s. The pickups in the Fenders are also Ron Ellis. You will hear the Fenders on the record. Amps are all clones of '59 (narrow panel tweed) amps, a Champ, a Deluxe and a Super (nothing like a blackface). I use two effects, a Bad Bob clean boost, and a Rogue analog delay. Both are stompers, both are set and forget. When I'm on stage, I like to control the sound from the guitar. BTW, ALL guitars on R&TD record are me. I learned slide from Lee Roy Parnell. I sing some, too. I sing passable rock and roll. Please get in touch, pbradtmusic@gmail.com Please send me something so I have your email address. Pete Bradt Guitar dork Ungrateful Bastardâ„¢
